Panasonic Aquarea T-CAP R32 fault F25

Four way valve abnormality

Heat pump

What it means

During heating operation, when the indoor pipe temperature of thermostat ON indoor unit is less than 0°C, or during cooling operation, when the indoor pipe temperature of thermostat ON indoor unit is greater than 45°C.

Likely causes

  1. Faulty connector connection
  2. Faulty outdoor unit PCB (noise filter/main)
  3. Indoor communication error

Where to start

  1. If sensor conforms, check if F25 occurred during heating operation
  2. If coil not disconnected, check if the harness is out of the CN-HOT connector - if Yes, reconnect the harness
  3. Disconnect the harness from the CN-HOT connector; check resistance between harness - should be about 1.5 kohm; if No, replace the four way valve coil

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
