LG Therma V fault 232
Problem in flow sensor
Heat pumpWhat it means
Error (serious fail - system cannot be used before repair). Flow Sensor of indoor unit is damaged.
Likely causes
- Flow Sensor of indoor unit is damaged
- Water is not enough or there can be water leakage inside water circuit
- Flow sensor is electrically open
- Water pump is in trouble
- Water leaking inside the product and accessories
- Water leaking from water pipes and accessories (connections, heat storage tanks, etc.)
- Valve in the water pipe is locked/closed
- Blockage by foreign substances in the water pipes such as struts
- CN_F_SENSOR connector removed or not fully seated
- Cable interference around the flow sensor causing false switch state detection
Where to start
- View Current flow rate on the service/display screen to verify actual system water flow rate.
- Step 1: System stopped while operation - begin diagnosis
- Step 2: Check pressure gauge reads 1.5~2.0 bar - if NO, investigate water charge/leakage (branch A)

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the LG manual for the Therma V. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
