LG Therma V fault CH15
Water pipe strange overheat
Heat pumpWhat it means
This error occurs when the temperature of the water pipe exceeds 72°C, indicating an abnormal overheat condition detected by the water pipe temperature sensor.
Likely causes
- When hot water is introduced
- Bad sensor
- Main PCB (Indoor Cycle) defect
Where to start
- Check if the thermometer installed outside the product reads below 72°C - if No, inspect the facility
- If thermometer reads below 72°C (Yes), check if the water pipe sensor is inserted in place - if No, insert into the water pipe according to the correct location
- If sensor is inserted correctly (Yes), check if the water piping sensor is normal by measuring resistance - if No (abnormal), replace the sensor

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the LG manual for the Therma V. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
