Immergas Victrix fault 38

Loss of flame signal

Gas boiler

What it means

This occurs when the boiler is ignited correctly and the burner flame switches off unexpectedly; a new attempt at ignition is performed and if normal conditions are restored, the boiler does not have to be reset.

Likely causes

  1. Burner flame switches off unexpectedly after correct ignition
  2. Unexpected burner flame switch-off after correct ignition
  3. Dirty burner
  4. Clogged primary heat exchanger
  5. Incorrect combustion parameters
  6. Intake-exhaust terminal not correctly installed
  7. Normal behaviour following calibration - system still adjusting ignition parameters
  8. Normal behaviour after calibration - system still adjusting
  9. Post-calibration adjustment period of burner ignition
  10. Incorrect nozzle diameter for gas type
  11. Incorrect gas pressure setting

Where to start

  1. Check error list in Information menu (anomaly only verified there)
  2. Check the list of errors in the Information menu to verify anomaly occurrence
  3. The anomaly can only be verified in the list of errors in the 'Information' menu

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
