Immergas Victrix fault 01

No ignition block

Gas boiler

What it means

If room central heating or domestic hot water production is requested (when the boiler is paired with a storage tank unit), the boiler does not switch on within the preset time.

Likely causes

  1. Boiler fails to ignite within preset time on CH or DHW request
  2. Upon appliance commissioning or after extended downtime, it may be necessary to eliminate the block.
  3. Boiler fails to ignite within preset time on request
  4. Extended downtime prior to commissioning
  5. Ignition failure within preset time
  6. Dirty burner
  7. Clogged primary heat exchanger
  8. Incorrect combustion parameters
  9. Intake-exhaust terminal not correctly installed
  10. Normal behaviour following calibration - system still adjusting ignition parameters
  11. Normal behaviour after calibration - system still adjusting
  12. Post-calibration adjustment period of burner ignition
  13. Incorrect nozzle diameter for gas type
  14. Incorrect gas pressure setting

Where to start

  1. Check ignition sequence upon commissioning or after extended downtime
  2. Press the Reset button
  3. Check the indicated components (burner, primary heat exchanger, combustion parameters, intake-exhaust terminal)

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
