Midea Heat pump fault LC7
Inverter module protection code (digital display LC7)
Heat pumpWhat it means
Inverter module protection code displayed as LC7 on digital display panel. Specific description not detailed in this manual window.
Likely causes
- Faulty inverter power module
- Faulty three-phase bridge rectifier (3Ph models)
Where to start
- Refer to Part 4 Appendix: Guide for identifying inverter PCB failure to determine PCB status before component replacement
- Set multimeter to diode test function (secondary tube available)
- For 1Ph models, test inverter circuit test points only
The full answer, free
- 5 more checks in order
- The readings and component tests from the manual
- How to put it right, step by step
- The manual page for this fault (page 147), right under the answer
Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the Midea manual for the Heat pump. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
