Midea Heat pump fault J3E
Bus voltage too low error
Heat pumpWhat it means
Fan module bus voltage too low error.
Likely causes
- Damage to cables
- Excessive number of connections
- Terminals not made to original specification
- Damage to seals
- Incorrect fitting of glands
Where to start
- Inspect casing for alteration affecting protection level
- Check seals or sealing materials have not degraded and still prevent ingress of flammable atmospheres
- Check cabling for wear, corrosion, excessive pressure, vibration, sharp edges or adverse environmental effects, including ageing and vibration from compressors or fans

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the Midea manual for the Heat pump. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
