Baxi Baxi 200/400/600/800 Combi 2 & System 2 Baxi 600/800/Assure System 2 and 600 Combi 2 platform fault E.04.15
Flue gas exhaust pipe blocked
Gas boilerWhat it means
Permanent fault requiring reset, indicating the flue gas exhaust pipe is blocked.
Likely causes
- Flue components incorrectly assembled, fixed or supported
- Obstructed or damaged flue/terminal
- Products of combustion mixing with inlet air due to leaking flue joints
- Flue component misassembly or leakage
- Unsound burner, internal flue, door or case seals
- Incorrect combustion/gas valve setup
- Flue leak or blockage causing flue gas spillage
Where to start
- Insert measurement probe into flue gas exhaust circuit socket (A) to measure combustion exhaust gas temperature, O2 or CO2 concentration, and CO concentration.
- Insert measurement probe into combustion air intake circuit socket (B) approx. 7 cm to measure combustion air temperature.
- Activate the chimney sweep function in order to analyse the combustion exhaust gases.

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
