Mitsubishi Ecodan fault 34

The energy monitor value seems not correct

Heat pump

What it means

Energy monitor values (consumed electric energy and delivered heat energy) appear incorrect, which could result from DIP switch settings, external meter configuration, external meter failure, or FTC board failure. Note: discrepancies can occur between actual and calculated values; connecting power meter(s) and heat meter to FTC board (locally supplied) improves accuracy.

Likely causes

  1. Incorrect setting of the energy monitor
  2. Non-connectable type of external meter (local supply) is connected
  3. External meter (local supply) failure
  4. FTC board failure

Where to start

  1. Check if the DIP switch SW3-4 is set correctly for consumed electric energy (electric energy meter local supply)
  2. Check if DIP switch SW3-8 is set correctly for delivered heat energy (heat meter local supply)
  3. If external electric energy meter and/or heat meter is not used, check the setting for electric heater and water pump(s) input is correct, referring to Energy monitor setting in section 9-4

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
