Midea R32 M thermal Arctic Mono fault H6

DC fan error

Heat pump

What it means

H6 indicates a DC fan error. The M thermal Mono unit stops running and the error code is displayed on refrigerant system main control board and user interface.

Likely causes

  1. Outdoor ambient temperature ≥4°C and actual fan speed differs from target fan speed by more than 200rpm for more than 3 minutes
  2. Outdoor ambient temperature below 4°C and actual fan speed differs from target fan speed by more than 300rpm for more than 3 minutes
  3. Actual fan speed less than 150rpm for more than 90 seconds
  4. Strong wind affecting fan operation
  5. Strong winds, abnormal power supply, fan motor malfunction
  6. Power or communication wires not connected properly. High wind speed. Fan motor blocked or has failed. Power supply abnormal. PFC module damaged. IPM module damaged. Main PCB damaged.
  7. Fan motor malfunction, power supply issue
  8. High wind speed
  9. Fan motor blocked or has failed
  10. Power supply abnormal
  11. PFC module damaged
  12. IPM module damaged
  13. Main PCB damaged

Where to start

  1. Measure outdoor ambient temperature
  2. Compare actual fan speed to target fan speed
  3. Check fan speed against 150rpm minimum threshold
