Ideal Logic Air fault 7
No heat pump starts exceeded
Heat pumpWhat it means
The number of heat pump start attempts has exceeded the allowed limit.
Likely causes
- Repeated failed start attempts
- Underlying fault preventing successful start
- Frost accumulation on evaporator due to outdoor humidity/temperature conditions
- Electrical interference from inadequate cable separation
- Water ingress from improperly routed cables or loose cable glands
- Dwelling room temperature dropped to ≤8°C
- Inadequate corrosion inhibitor dosing leading to gradual system performance deterioration
- Missing or undersized system filter allowing debris into primary circuit
- Dwelling ambient temperature at or below 8°C
- Ambient air temperature at or below 1°C
- Refrigerant leak from circuit
Where to start
- Read Primary flow temp, Hot water temp, Outside temp, Primary water flow, Compressor %, CH1 Pump, CH2 Pump, Diverter valve, Immersion heater status directly from home screen to verify system operation
- Identify 'Alarm' symbol to indicate a plant error
- Identify 'Maintenance/Special operations' symbol for maintenance message or special operation feedback

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
