Water dripping from shower head when turned off

What it means

Water continues to drip from the shower head after the unit has been switched off.

Likely causes

  1. Potentiometer faulty
  2. Debris in solenoid valve

Where to start

  1. Remove screw trim from temperature control knob
  2. Remove retaining screw and remove temperature control
  3. Carefully disconnect lead from PCB (do not let cover dangle by the lead)

Safety: Isolate at the double pole isolator and the consumer unit, and prove dead before the cover comes off. Electrical work to BS 7671 (UK) or I.S. 10101 (Ireland).
