What it means

The shower pump is producing excessive noise during operation.

Likely causes

  1. Air lock in pump
  2. Faulty pump
  3. Supply pipework undersized for pump flow rate
  4. Air drawn into hot supply from vent pipe

Where to start

  1. Check for air lock in pump
  2. Verify hot water supply temperature does not exceed 65°C maximum
  3. Confirm stored hot water temperature at 60°C for hard water scale minimisation
