Grundfos STP 2 fault 2F

The pump runs but delivers no water (isolating valves closed)

Shower pump

What it means

Pump runs but no water is delivered because isolating valves are closed.

Likely causes

  1. Isolating valves are closed
  2. Blocked strainers common on initial pump installation or new buildings due to jointing compounds, tapes, flux and debris flushed through system
  3. Debris ingress into pump causing blockage or damage if strainer omitted

Where to start

  1. Check isolating valve positions
  2. Inspect all flexible hoses and connections at least every six months
  3. Check for reduced shower flow performance indicating blocked strainers
