Grant Aerona R290 fault E02
Discharge temperature sensor failure (TP)
Heat pumpWhat it means
Discharge temperature sensor (TP) failure due to incorrect connection, sensor failure, or faulty hydraulic PCB.
Likely causes
- The hydraulic PCB is faulty
- Wire disconnection or wiring error between the heat pump, wiring centre and touch screen display
- Fuse on the hydraulic module PCB may have failed
- Fuse on the Smart Controller wiring centre PCB may have failed
Where to start
- Check the hydraulic PCB
- Check wiring between heat pump, wiring centre and touch screen display
- Check fuse on hydraulic module PCB

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
