Baxi Baxi 600/800/Assure System 2 and 600 Combi 2 platform fault SVC

Maintenance required message

Gas boiler

What it means

The SVC symbol appears on the screen and a flashing spanner/maintenance symbol indicates the boiler requires maintenance. This is a notification only, not a lockout, used to warn the user that scheduled maintenance is due. The function is disabled by default and must be enabled via AP010.

Likely causes

  1. Boiler has reached the operating hours threshold configured in AP011
  2. Boiler has reached the burner start-up hours threshold configured in AP009
  3. Scheduled maintenance interval reached as configured by installer
  4. PCB accessory board removed or replaced

Where to start

  1. Check if parameter AP010 is enabled (message only active if AP010 ≠ 0)
  2. Check AP011 setting for operating hours threshold
  3. Check AP009 setting for burner start-up hours threshold

Safety: Isolate gas and power before you open the case. If you have been into the gas side, do a tightness test, and a combustion and flue check before you hand back. Gas Safe (UK) or RGI (Ireland) work only.
