Vaillant aroTHERM fault F.732

Compressor outlet temperature too high

Heat pump

What it means

The compressor outlet temperature is above 110 °C.

Likely causes

  1. Application limits exceeded
  2. EEV does not work or does not open correctly
  3. Refrigerant volume too low (frequent defrosting due to extremely low evaporation temperatures)
  4. No heat requirement via the control
  5. Timer programme not set correctly
  6. Room temperature at or above target temperature

Where to start

  1. Check the compressor inlet sensor and outlet sensor
  2. Check the compressor outlet temperature sensor (TT135)
  3. Check the EEV (does the EEV move to the limit stop? Use the sensor/actuator test)

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
