Samsung Gen 6 fault E440
Heating operation is not available since the outdoor air temperature is over 35 degrees
Heat pumpWhat it means
Heating operation blocked due to high outdoor air temperature.
Likely causes
- Incorrect operation setting state
- Faulty temperature sensor
- Outdoor air temperature over 35 degrees
Where to start
- Check the operation setting state
- Check temperature sensor
- Check the outdoor temperature.

Safety: Isolate the outdoor unit and any backup heater, and give the inverter capacitors time to discharge before you open the electrics. Anything on the refrigerant circuit needs F-gas certification.
From the Samsung manual for the Gen 6. Check the model on the data plate before you order parts.
